Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Wiri Market. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Acceptance of these terms
Using Wiri Market — whether to browse restaurants, place an order, make a reservation, or post a review — means you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or place an order. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate registration information and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised. The service has separate account types (consumer, restaurant owner, company admin, platform staff) — each with access limited to what that role needs.
Our role as a marketplace
Wiri Market connects consumers with independently owned and operated restaurants. We are not a restaurant, and we do not prepare, cook, handle, or deliver food ourselves. Each restaurant is solely responsible for the quality, safety, accuracy, and legality of the food and service it provides, including compliance with applicable food-safety and health regulations, and for accurately disclosing ingredients and allergens.
Orders and reservations
Menu items, prices, and availability are set by each restaurant and may change at any time. Placing an order or reservation is a request that the restaurant may accept, decline, or be unable to fully honour (for example, due to an item selling out). We forward your order or reservation details to the restaurant so they can fulfil it — we don't guarantee the restaurant will be able to do so.
Pricing and payment
Payments are collected by us at the time of ordering and processed through third-party payment providers (Paystack, Flutterwave, or Stripe, as applicable) — see our Privacy Policy for how payment data is handled. Prices may include a delivery fee and are shown before you confirm an order. Promotional codes or discounts are subject to their own specific conditions (such as a minimum order amount or usage limit) and may be withdrawn or changed at any time.
Corporate accounts
If you order using a corporate account, your employer's designated administrator has approved which restaurants may be billed to the company and any applicable spend limits, and can view order-level details for billing purposes. Orders that would exceed an approved limit are not billed to the company.
Recurring orders (subscriptions)
Where a restaurant offers recurring orders, choosing that option authorises us to charge your saved payment method automatically at the frequency you select, using the restaurant's live menu and pricing at the time of each renewal. You can cancel at any time from your account, effective for future billing cycles. Repeated failed payments will automatically pause a subscription rather than retry indefinitely.
Cancellations and refunds
Because each restaurant fulfils its own orders and reservations, cancellation and refund eligibility for a specific order is generally governed by that restaurant's own policy. If an order fails to reach the restaurant, or a reservation can't be fulfilled through no fault of your own, contact us and we'll work with you on a resolution, which may include a refund at our discretion.
Reviews and community content
You may only leave a review for a restaurant after an order of yours with that restaurant has been fulfilled — this is a deliberate measure against fake reviews, and reviews aren't removed simply because a restaurant disagrees with them. Forum posts, restaurant-page posts, and comments are subject to review (including automated content screening) and may be rejected, held for manual review, or removed if they violate these Terms, without individual notice in every case.
Prohibited conduct
You agree not to: post fake, incentivised, or manipulated reviews; scrape or use automated tools to access the service outside of a documented integration; attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or circumvent the security of the service; upload unlawful, infringing, or harassing content; or interfere with another user's or restaurant's use of the service.
Intellectual property
The Wiri Market name, logo, and site content (excluding content you post) belong to us or our licensors. You keep ownership of reviews, posts, and other content you submit, but grant us a licence to display it as part of operating the service.
Third-party services
Signing in with Google or Facebook, payment processing, and each restaurant's own point-of-sale or ordering system are operated by third parties and governed by their own terms. We aren't responsible for their availability, accuracy, or actions.
Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is." We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and — since food preparation, delivery, and reservations are each performed by an independent restaurant, not by us — we don't warrant food quality, delivery timing, or a restaurant's ability to honour a reservation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order or reservation giving rise to the claim.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms. You may stop using the service, or request deletion of your account, at any time — see our Data Deletion page.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms; material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
